France (FR) — civil law.

This wiki describes France only. It is not about United States practice and it is not about Argentine practice. Start at faux-amis.

Enchères immobilières en France

Start here

  • faux-amis — what French practice is not. Read first.
  • agent-guardrails — scope rules for any agent answering from this wiki.

The procedure

Where the rules change

  • alsace-moselle — a court-held land register and a different procedure
  • outre-mer — including land that can never be seized at all
  • carte-judiciaire — 168 courts, and the five that cross a département

The data

  • dvf — every recorded sale price, except three territories
  • publicite-fonciere — ownership, one property at a time
  • licitor — where notices appear, and why none is complete

Status

This is the core. It is deliberately narrow and verified rather than broad and plausible. Claims that have not been pinned to a primary source are marked needs_verification in place — those markers are the honest state of the research, not filler. The long tail (per-département pages, case law, the notarial channel, the overseas collectivities in detail) is listed in program.md.
